I'm a former college football coach turned full-stack developer. The communication and collaboration skills that I've developed as a coach while working with diverse groups of people have become strengths that will help within a team setting.

Software development revolves around learning and growing and that is something I plan to achieve while solving real-world problems.

Projects

Mulkerin Irish Dance

Description: Solo freelance project with a client who owns an Irish Dance studio. Contract was over a 3-month period. Client plans on expanding the website to include store in the future. Will need to create a backend.

Responsiveness: Mobile | Tablet | Desktop

Role: Front-End Framework Developer

Tech Stack: ReactJS, React Router, LESS-Compiler

Responsibilities:

• Collaborated with client to plan website design and structure
• Solely created every aspect of the website from start to finish
• Deployed site with Vercel
• Completed project on time

Weight Lifting Journal

Description: Keep track of all things fitness related from diet to weights at the gym!

Role: Node Back-End Developer

Tech Stack: ReactJS, NodeJS, Postgres, Knex, Express, bcryptjs, dotenv, jsonwebtoken

Responsibilities:

• Built a Web API with functional endpoints in coordination with the front-end team
• Employed REST architectural pattern for API and provided data persistence
• Incorporated authentication and authorization services for security

Quickhire

** This was a build on project which eventually was altered by other teams at a later date. Below is the recording of our finished project. **

Description: Quickhire is a web application that streamlines the job search process by allowing users to search, store, and apply for jobs -- all in one place. It allows you, as a user, to login, search for jobs that you're interested in, save them, and apply to them.

Role: Full-Stack Web Developer

Front-End Stack: ReactJS, LESS-Compiler, React Router, Jest, Cloudinary

Back-End Stack: NodeJS, Postgres, Knex, Express, bcryptjs, dotenv, jsonwebtoken

Responsibilities:

• Collaborated with a remote cross-functional team: a UX Designer, four Data Scientists, and five Web Developers
• Iterated features throughout all aspects of the project
• Implemented creation and editing of the User Profile

Brewspot

Description: Find Bars in your current city or state!

Responsiveness:Desktop

Role: Front-End Framework Developer (Solo)

Tech Stack: ReactJS, React Router, React Hooks, LESS-Compiler, Axios, Redux

Responsibilities:

• Interacted with OpenBrewery.com API
• Implemented Redux to centralize state management
